Recruitment & Registration Consultant (Vacant)
The Recruitment & Registration Chair is responsible for overseeing and mobilizing a team of Service Unit Recruiters, Placement Coordinators and School Representatives who ensure Girl Scouting is available to all girls within the defined jurisdiction based on target markets and membership strategy. Events Consultant: Tina Brook The Series and Events Pathways Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the planning and implementation of series and events offerings that provide high-quality activities for girls using the National Program Portfolio and are aligned to the Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE). Finance Chair: Carla Perry & Dina Crewe The Finance Chair is responsible for ensuring finance policies are adhered to by all community volunteers. She or he approves bank account applications and oversees funds for all pathway groups. Travel Pathway Coordinator: (Vacant) The Travel Pathway Coordinator is responsible for overseeing a travel committee that ensures volunteers and girls participating in GSUSA Destinations and Council, community, service unit and troop travel opportunities, receive the proper preparation and support for their travel experience. She or he does not attend the trips, but provides expertise and logistical support to ensure successful travel. She or he also reviews extended travel/activity requests for all groups within the community. Girl Awards Committee Organizer: Linda Linke The Girl Awards Committee Organizer coordinates the Girl Awards Committee, which advises girls in planning, implementation, and documentation of take-action projects and Girl Scout Bronze, Silver and Gold Award projects. She or he also coordinates the decision-making process for committee review and approval of Bronze and Silver awards, and guides the review process for Gold Awards prior to Council Gold Award Committee evaluation. |
Adult Recognitions Consultant: (Beth Aberth)
The Volunteer Development Chair is responsible for overseeing a committee of volunteers who promote volunteer retention by ensuring preparation, communication, and support for Girl Scout volunteers within the community. She or he helps to identify volunteer needs and vacant volunteer positions within the community and works with the recruiting team to fill positions. Outdoor & Camp Consultant: (Sharon Zummo) The Outdoor & Camp Consultant is responsible for establishing, planning and implementing volunteer-led, outdoor experiences for girls: such as day camps; camporees; encampment; or other Council or community camps that are aligned to the Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE) and National Program Portfolio. Volunteer Support Organizers The Volunteer Support Organizer is responsible for communicating regularly with the Service Units in her or his area to identify learning and support needs within the community. She works closely with the Adult Learning Facilitators to provide learning opportunities throughout the community. She also advises on venues and needs in her geographic area. Norfolk/Portsmouth (Vacant) Chesapeake/Suffolk (Linda Linke) Surry/Isle of Wight/Southampton (Cristin Emrick) Adult Learning Facilitators (Various) The Adult Learning Facilitators deliver courses, workshops and resources to individuals and/or groups of volunteers in order to orient, prepare and support them throughout their appointment. They work in conjunction with the Volunteer Development Chair and Volunteer Support Coordinators to provide the needed learning in the assigned area. |
